So, just what is Google Chrome Helper anyway? At its most basic level, Google Chrome is simply a web browser with a variety of features designed to help you get the most out of using the Internet. From tools to help you organize your browsing data and history, to quick start up and faster browsing, to security and privacy protection – the features and capabilities of Google Chrome are endless. However, like any other program or application, these specialized web applications can cause some problems, especially if you have a weak or non-functional Internet connection. To help you with these issues, here is what you should know about the Google Chrome Helper mechanism.
What is Google Chrome Helper, really? At its most fundamental level, Google Chrome Helper is a web application that runs inside your browser while you work on a web page. The purpose of this application is to help your browser manage various different aspects of the web environment, including things like CPU usage, memory, and even the selection of which web pages load up first. Basically, this web application monitors certain parts of your browsing activity, and based on certain signals it receives, displays a variety of different elements on your web browser’s main menu. It is this menu that makes Google Chrome Helper such a useful feature.
However, one of the biggest problems that many Internet users have with Google Chrome Helper is Flash. The fact is, not only does Flash have to be downloaded and enabled whenever you browse, but also that particular Flash plugin has to be installed separately. The bad news is that in order to use the Flash plugin in Google Chrome, you either need to disable the built-in support for Flash objects, or use a plugin which allows you to turn off the built-in support, but still use the Flash objects that are created by the Flash plugin. Fortunately, this latter option is easier to deal with than having to go through the process of downloading and enabled the Flash object by hand.
To disable the built-in support for Flash objects in Google Chrome, you should first go into the ” Settings “tab” and click on the “API levels” tab. You will see a list of all of the plugins that are installed on your computer. Clicking on the plus sign next to the plugin you want to disable will expand a drop down menu. Select “Remove” and then click “OK.” This will permanently delete the plugin from your system so that Google Chrome can run without having to read and install various files which might be related to the Flash plugin.
Just as before, there are several different ways of dealing with the ” Plugin “Google Chrome Helper” problem. You can follow one of the methods outlined in the next section, or you can find and download a third party utility that deals with cleaning up your PC, and cleaning up your system in general. There are even Windows XP support programs available which look and work like the Chrome helper in that they will clean up your computer by deleting all of the trash and uninstalling all of the plug-ins that are not needed. Some of these programs are available for free, but others may cost money for continued use.

The easiest way to remove the helper application is to right click on the program icon, click properties, and then click the option “Remove” or “Uninstall”. After that, restart your computer and then reinstall the plugin back into the browser. When you first start using the new version of Chrome, the helper may not be able to run automatically, but just by restarting your computer after downloading the new version of the plugin, it should be up and running again.
